Menacing Mosquitos: Life cycle and prevention strategies.

Mosquitos are an emerging problem in temperate climates, everyone has heard of malaria but now it's on our doorsteps due to climate change. Now, more than ever, it is vital to understand, and prevent the spread of these flies. I plan to observe the mosquito larvae in my wildlife pond, set up a research centre where I will keep a few individuals in a half-full, large jam jar, and feed the adults a drop of my blood, after I have observed them, I will then carry out experiments to prevent their biting and breeding. I would like to learn - first; how many survive to adulthood, second; how to prevent them, and third; anything else that I find out. I think this is vital work due to the on coming threat.
