The Narrative Setup: The Goal: The party enters the keep to retrieve the ancient Sunken Crest, a lost quest item locked deep within the lower levels. The Escalating Hazard: The keep's ancient drainage mechanisms are failing. As the players explore, ambient water begins to flood the chambers—turning dry corridors into treacherous, waist-deep terrain and adding a race-against-the-clock element to the crawl. The Obstacles: Players must navigate slippery algae-covered floors, disarm ancient glowing magical runes, flip rusted wall levers to drain rooms, and dodge floor spike traps while battling subterranean threats like the Gloom Weavers. The Climax: Unlocking the deepest sunken chamber requires overcoming The Drowned Sentinel, a heavy guardian protecting the vault chest where the Crest and a mysterious Vial of Water Breathing lie hidden.
